Mocha - Training and Walking Client

We adopted Mocha, who is a Border Collie and Australian Shepherd cross, as a very young pup. We knew these breeds were described as having high energy but as we soon found out, that is an understatement.

We soon found out we were in way over our heads and had to have help. We felt so overwhelmed that we thought about giving up on this beautiful pup. Donna was recommended to us so we gave her a call and set up a meet and greet.

The very first day Donna came for the meet and greet Mocha responded well to training. I knew this breed was smart but I could not believe how quickly Mocha responded to Donna and the training techniques. Mocha and Donna became fast friends and we have not regretted our decision.

Donna was very knowledgeable, patient and calm with Mocha. You could tell she loved dogs straight away. What I appreciated the most was the training we received in how to interact with Mocha and help her in her development. We also learned that these breeds need mental stimulation as much as physical exercise.

We learned so much from Donna regarding Mochas breeds. Donna went above and beyond her role by including literature for us to read with information on Mochas breeds and bringing a variety of brain games explaining how these items could be used for puzzles and mental stimulation for Mocha.

Mocha is now two years old and I am so happy we stuck it out. She still sees Donna and her doggie friends twice per week for playtime which Mocha loves. I tell her Donna is coming and she will go between the window and door watching for her with her tail high and wagging.

Donna also offered us dog sitting services at her home and I felt so happy leaving Mocha in her care. I did not have to worry about her being in a place that was foreign to her with strangers and dogs she was not familiar with. Donna sent pics regularly to keep us updated on what adventure Mocha was up to next which we so appreciated.
